Add an Extension

Create a new extension on your system. A voicemail box is automatically created for each extension.

Before you begin: You must have admin permissions.
  1. Sign in at
  2. Select Extensions and then select Add extension next to Department Extensions or Employee Extensions.

    Result: The new extension will be added to the bottom of the list.

  3. If you have call forwarding enabled on a previous extension, the previous extension’s call forwarding number will be added to the new extension by default. Learn how to change the call forwarding settings.
What to do next: While multiple numbers can be added to the same account, you only have one set of extensions. You can have main greetings for each of your numbers with different messages.
