Change the amount of time an incoming call rings before going to voicemail.
- Sign in at https://nuui.us.grasshopper.com.
- Select Extensions, then Edit next to the desired extension.
- Select Edit next to each call forwarding number.
- In the Ring for field, enter the desired ring time.
Note:
- The system default is 25 seconds, the lowest recommended ring time. If you choose Call Announce or Call Screen as your call forwarding, you can set the screen time to 30-35 seconds.
- If you lower the ring time below 25 seconds, incoming calls might not have enough time to connect, resulting in missed calls.
- If you extend the ring time to more than 50 seconds, calls ring too long, and voicemails end up in your personal voicemail box instead.
- While we recommend leaving your voicemails in Grasshopper, you can send voicemails to yourself by going to your personal voicemail box, setting up call forwarding as direct connect, and setting the ring time to 180 seconds.
- Select Save & Close.
