Give a user extension access

Enable user's access to an extension(s) so they can customize call forwarding, greetings, voicemails, and add their forwarding number for calls.

Before you begin: You must have admin permissions.

If your admin portal home page looks like the screenshot below, these steps are for you.Legacy admin portal home page

  1. Sign in to the admin portal.
  2. Go to Settings > Users.
  3. From the desired user's section, select the Extension access drop-down menu.
  4. Select On next to the extension(s) you want the user to access.
    Select Off to remove extension access for the user.

  1. Sign in to the admin portal.
  2. Go to User management > Permissions.
  3. From Extension permissions, enable the extension(s) the user needs access to.
    Tip: Filter by phone number above the extensions to view the mapped extensions to phone numbers.
  4. When finished, select Save.
