How to create a custom schedule

You can create a custom schedule for receiving calls!

This is great if you prefer not to answer calls on a 24/7 basis. Once a Custom Schedule is set, we will play an Away Greeting to advise your callers that you are out of the office.

Custom Schedules can be set on specific extensions or they can be set for the entire account. 

To set up a Custom Schedule on the entire account, please follow the steps below:

  • Go to Settings
  • Select Main Greeting
  • Click on Change Greeting

  • Scroll down to Options
  • Next to "The away greeting will..", select a frequency for when your Away greeting should play

  • If you chose to play your Away greeting when your closed, tell us what your hours of operation are?
  • Click on the drop menu next to "My open hours are"
  • Enter your hours of operation
  • Finally, click on Save Options

If you would prefer to set a custom schedule on a specific extension, simply follow the steps below:

*Setting custom schedules on individual extensions, requires that the schedule be set in 2 parts of the extension.

Part one:

  • Go to Extensions
  • Click Edit on the extension you want to change
  • Then, select Edit next to your forwarding number.
  • Then click the drop down for 'When do you want this number to receive calls?' to change the forwarding time
  • Enter your hours of operation
  • Select Save & Close

Part two:

  • Next, Scroll down to the Greetings section
  • Click on Show other greetings
  • Scroll down to Options
  • Next to "The away greeting will..", select a frequency for when your Away greeting should play
  • If you chose to play your Away greeting when your closed, tell us what your hours of operation are?
  • Click on the drop menu next to "My open hours are"
  • Enter your hours of operation
  • Finally, click on Save Options

Once your Custom Schedule is set, don't forget to record an Away Greeting to advise your callers that you are out of the office.
