Change a user’s email address

Update a user's email address used to log in and reset their password.

Before you begin: You must have admin permissions.

Legacy admin portal

If your admin portal home page looks like the screenshot below, these steps are for you.

Sign in to the admin portal.
Go to Settings > Users.
Select Edit next to the user whose email needs to be updated.
Update the user's email address and then select Save. The 2FA code will now be sent to the user's new email address.

Note: If the user's old email address is used for voicemail notifications or virtual fax, updating their email address from their user profile will not automatically update it in other places.
Select Edit again next to the user.
Under User should use username to login, enter the user's new email address and then select Save & Close.

Admin portal

If your admin portal home page looks like the screenshot below, these steps are for you.

Sign in to the admin portal.
Go to User management > Users.
Select > Edit next to the user whose email needs to be updated.
Update the user's email address and then select Save. The 2FA code will now be sent to the user's new email address.

Select Next > Save.
