Transfer a call to another extension

Transfer an active call to another extension on your system.

About this task:
  • Only inbound calls can be transferred to another extension.
  • In order to transfer to an external phone numbers, calling card needs to be enabled on your account.
Note: Use our Phone Reference Sheet as a guide for managing your calls.

Desktop App

  1. While on an inbound call, select Transfer Icon. Your call will be placed on hold.
  2. Enter the extension number or phone number you’d like to transfer the call to, followed by #.
  3. Optional: To return to the call, enter * before entering an extension.

Mobile App & Mobile Calls

  1. While on an inbound call, dial # twice. Your caller will be placed on hold.
  2. Dial 2 to initiate the transfer.
  3. Enter the extension number or phone number you’d like to transfer the call to, followed by #.
  4. Complete the transfer with one of the following options:
    1. To transfer the call now, press 1.
    2. To remain on the line, press 2, then press # twice to complete the transfer.
