Make outbound calls

    Make outbound calls using our apps or a landline phone.

    Important: To make calls using the apps, you must have an active user account and access to an extension.
    Note: All outbound calls are subject to our reasonable use policy. Grasshopper reserves the right, without prior notice, to disconnect or suspend your service if we determine that your use of the service violates the reasonable use policy.
    Option How-to
    Desktop app
    1. Sign in to the desktop app.
    2. Select Dialer from the left navigation menu.
    3. Enter the phone number or extension you’d like to call.
    4. Select the call button.
    Mobile app
    Important: Before you make a call, your cell phone number must be entered correctly in the app under Settings > My Mobile Number.
    1. Sign in to the mobile app.
      Tip: To use wifi calling, go to Settings > Wifi Calling > Enable.
    2. Select Call.
    3. Enter the phone number or extension you’d like to call.
    4. Select the call button.

    Landline phone/Calling Card
    Note: Your landline phone must be registered before making a call.
    1. From the landline phone, dial (888) 989-8688.
    2. You’ll hear “phone number recognized.” When prompted, dial the phone number you’d like to call.
    Subscriber Mode
    Note: You must have outbound dialing (calling card) enabled on your account.
    1. Dial your Grasshopper phone number.
    2. Enter * and then dial the extension number followed by #.
    3. Enter the extension’s pin followed by #.
    4. Press 6 to make an outbound call, and then press 1.
    5. Dial the phone number you’d like to call.
