Add a new phone number to an account

Check which numbers are available and place an order for local, toll-free, or vanity numbers. Only available for numbers inside the US and Canada.

Before you begin: You must have admin permissions.

Legacy admin portal

Before you begin: To see how many phone numbers your plan includes, go to Settings > Account > Your Pricing Plan.

If your admin portal home page looks like the screenshot below, these steps are for you.

Sign in to the admin portal.
From Your Phone Numbers in the right navigation panel, select Add Additional Numbers.
From the Add a number drop-down menu, choose from the following:
- Suggested toll-free phone numbers
- Custom toll-free phone number
- Local phone number
- Transfer existing phone number
Note: If you don't see phone numbers in your local area code, select Contact Support.
Select Yes, add this number to my account. You will see additional fees on the following billing statement if additional fees apply.

What to do next: While multiple numbers can be added to the same account, you only have one set of extensions. You can have main greetings for each of your numbers with different messages.

Admin portal

If your admin portal home page looks like the screenshot below, these steps are for you.

Sign in to the admin portal.
Go to Call management > Numbers & call routing.
Select Add new number in the top right and then choose which type of number you’d like to add.

Note: If you don't see phone numbers in your local area code, select Contact Support.
Select New batch to load more options.

Important: Some area codes have additional costs.
Select Add number.

What to do next: While multiple numbers can be added to the same account, you only have one set of extensions. You can have welcome greetings for each of your numbers with different messages.
