Manage My Contacts

Add, update, or delete external contacts and control who shows up in your favorites. Access your local device's contacts and share with the users on your account. Available only for users on Grasshopper mobile app versions iOS 5.21.0 (889) or higher, Android 5.26.0-1167 or higher, and desktop app version 1.22.0 or higher.

Before you begin:

View your mobile device's contacts in the app

View and interact with your device's contacts within the Grasshopper app without needing to import your contacts. Available only for users on Grasshopper mobile app version 5.21.0 (889) or higher.

From the mobile app, select Contacts from the bottom of the screen.
Select Local from the top of the screen.

Add business contacts to the mobile app and share with other users on your account

Add your business contacts to the Grasshopper app to share with other users on your account. Available only for users on Grasshopper mobile app versions iOS 5.21.0 (889) or higher, and Android 5.26.0-1167 or higher.

Important: Each account is limited to 2,000 contacts on the Grasshopper Contacts tab. For this reason, we recommend only importing those business contacts that you wish to view separately from your Local contacts directory or contacts that you want to share across users within your account. You can always access your device's local contacts (business and personal) from the Local tab in Contacts.

From the mobile app, enable Grasshopper contacts by going to Settings > Contact Settings and enabling the toggle for Enable Grasshopper Contacts.

Note: Available only for users on Grasshopper mobile app versions iOS 5.21.0 (889) or higher, and Android 5.26.0-1167 or higher.
Select Import work contacts.
Choose your business contacts from the list of your device's contacts and then select Done.
View the imported contacts from Contacts at the bottom of the screen and then select Grasshopper. You will also see contacts that other users on your account have imported.

Manage your Grasshopper business contacts in the mobile app

Before you begin: Enable Grasshopper contacts in the mobile app by going to Settings > Contact Settings and enabling the toggle for Enable Grasshopper Contacts.

From the mobile app, select Contacts from the bottom of your screen and follow the steps below to manage your contacts.

Tip: Tap and hold a contact to place a call or send a text.

Add a contact	Note: Adding a contact from the Android app creates a contact only locally in your device's storage; the new contact won't be added to other accounts (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.). Select + from the top right. Enter the new contact's information. Select Done.
Edit a contact	Search for a contact's info. Choose a contact from the results. Select Edit from the top right. Make any necessary changes and then select Done.
Favorite a contact	Search for a contact's info. Tap and hold a contact from the results. Select Mark as Favorite. Optional: To remove a contact from favorites, follow steps 1 and 2 and then select Remove Favorites.
Delete a contact	Search for a contact's info. Tap and hold a contact from the results. Select Delete Contact.

Note: Any changes made to contacts from the mobile app will be reflected in the desktop app.

Manage your Grasshopper business contacts in the desktop app

Add, update, or delete Grasshopper contacts and control who shows up in your favorites. Available only on desktop app version 1.22.0 or higher.

Before you begin: Enable Grasshopper contacts in the desktop app by selecting the settings gear in the top right corner and then enabling the Enable Contacts toggle. Once enabled, you will be able to view and edit contacts that have been added to your Grasshopper account from the mobile app. You will also be able to add and delete contacts directly from the desktop app.

From the desktop app, select Contacts from the left navigation menu and follow the steps below to manage your contacts.

Edit a contact	Search for a contact's info. Choose a contact from the results. Select . Make any necessary changes and then select Save.
Favorite a contact	Search for a contact's info. Choose a contact from the results. Select . To remove from favorites, select .
Delete a contact	Search for a contact's info. Choose a contact from the results. Select Delete Contact from the bottom and then confirm in the new window..
