How do I record my own greetings?

You can create personalized greetings and messages that can be customized according to your needs. You can record your own greetings via phone, through your computer using a microphone, or by uploading your greetings to your account online. The following types of greetings can be created:

- Main Greetings: the first greeting callers hear when they call your Grasshopper phone number. A main greeting contains information about the extensions a caller can select.

- Away Greetings: the greeting callers hear when they call your Grasshopper phone number outside of business hours. Away greetings can be defined for a Grasshopper phone number or for each extension individually.

- Voicemail Greetings: the greeting callers hear when they call your Grasshopper phone number and nobody picks up the phone. Voicemail greetings are recorded and selected for each extension individually.

- Call Forwarding Greetings: the greeting callers hear when they call your Grasshopper number and select an extension. Call forwarding greetings are recorded and selected for each extension individually. The default is "Please hold while we connect your call to...".
