Can I set a timezone for my account?

Absolutely! By default, all Grasshopper accounts are set to an Eastern Time Zone. However, there are 3 locations within your account that you are welcome to change the Time Zone for.

For all time zone changes, please allow Grasshopper 5 minutes to update before testing.

1. Change the Time Zone for your Main and Away greeting

By changing this setting, you are updating the times that your callers hear either a Main Greeting or an Away Greeting.

To change this:

  1. Log into your account at Grasshopper.com
  2. Click on Settings
  3. Select the Main Greetings tab
  4. Click on Change Greeting
  5. Scroll down until you see Options
  6. Click on the drop-down menu next to Time Zone
  7. Once you have selected the proper Time Zone, the changes will automatically save

2. Change the Time Zone for an extension

By updating your extension’s Time Zone, you are updating the time that your call forwarding numbers are set to receive calls.

To change this:

  1. Log into your account at Grasshopper.com
  2. Click on Extensions
  3. Select Edit next to your extension
  4. Click on View Details
  5. Selected the proper Time Zone from the drop-down menu
  6. Click save

3. Change the Time Zone for a specific user

The Time Zone for each user affects the timestamps of messages and calls on the Grasshopper account.

To change this:

  1. Log into your account at Grasshopper.com
  2. Click on Settings
  3. Select the Users tab
  4. Select edit next to your user
  5. Selected the proper Time Zone from the drop-down menu
  6. Click Save & Close
