If you are transferring a phone number into Grasshopper Connect, it all starts with the online Number Transfer form. Copies of your Letter of Authorization (LOA) will be sent to you and our Number Transfer team as soon as you submit the online form, and our Number Transfer team will reach out to your current carrier to begin the transfer process right away. Once a tentative date has been assigned to your transfer, they will notify you immediately.
- If your current carrier rejects the transfer request, we will notify you right away (this is often caused by incorrect information on your LOA).
- If you haven't heard from us, it means we are still on track to transfer your number on the tentative date provided!

If you are transferring a phone number out of Grasshopper Connect, our Customer Care department won't be able to check the status for you because it is handled by our underlying phone carrier. Your new provider should be able to provide you with all the info you need to complete the transfer once it’s in process, so please contact them with any questions.
