Cancel my account

Our Grasshopper team is here for you! See below for tips on what to expect about potentially canceling your account.

If you want to cancel your Grasshopper subscription, it’s important to note that canceling will turn off your plan’s auto-renewal so it doesn’t renew at the end of the plan term, but your subscription will remain active until the term end date.

For example, if you have an annual contract and you choose to cancel six months into your contract, canceling will turn off auto-renewal once your contract ends, but your plan will stay active for the remaining 6 months until that end date is reached.
Important: Grasshopper has an official no-refund policy, so you will not be issued a refund for canceling early.

Before canceling your subscription

If you are considering canceling your account with us, here are a few things to be aware of:

  • Only the main contact on your account can initiate an account cancellation.
  • If you have phone numbers on your account that you want to transfer to a different carrier, your Grasshopper account must stay active until the transfer is complete. Transfer time depends on many factors (e.g., local versus toll free number, the carriers involved, the accuracy of the porting information), so we can't determine exact turnaround time. Typically, the number transfer process takes anywhere from 2-18 business days.
    Important: You will need to contact support to cancel your account when your phone number(s) has successfully ported out.
  • Your account must be in good standing without any outstanding bills or fees.
Important: Once you cancel your subscription and reach the end of your plan term, you will lose access to all data associated with that product subscription. This data will be deleted from our servers 90 days after the plan term ends and you will not be able to retrieve that data, even if you reactivate your subscription. If you don’t transfer your phone numbers before your account is canceled, those numbers will be transferred to a different carrier and could be used by a competitor.

Contact support to cancel

If you'd like to discuss your account management options, select Contact Support to speak to a representative.

To ensure the cancellation process goes smoothly, you’ll need to Contact Support to initiate the cancellation of your account and to receive your Customer Service Record (CSR). You’ll need the following information:
  • Account number (your business phone number)
  • The account's 4-digit Primary PIN
  • The last 4 digits of the credit card on file for your account
  • The billing address used for the credit card
